Who is Indie Lee?

Hi! I'm Indie Lee! Thanks for asking : ) After being diagnosed with a brain tumor and given six months to live in 2009 (happy ending - brain tumor was successfully removed and I'm still here!), it has been my mission to educate and empower others to make informed, healthy life choices and to create a line of clean products that are as effective as they are safe. I started making products in my kitchen and have embraced the journey from the start through the present. I am so inspired by you, the people who join me on this journey. What does clean beauty mean to Indie Lee?

To us, clean beauty means products that are mindfully and honestly created, produced and offered without the use of any ingredients that are proven or suspected of causing harm. When in doubt, formulate out. In addition, those products should be made from ethically sourced ingredients with the health of the user and the preservation of the environment in mind.

How are Indie Lee products different from other beauty brands?

Our products are grounded in nature, supported by science and inspired by life. We believe the products you choose should be effective, enjoyable, healthy and from a company you believe in. When you purchase an Indie Lee product, you can trust that every ingredient in the formula has been ethically-sourced and is disclosed for your knowledge and empowerment. Every product has a purpose and has been rigorously tested for efficacy.

What is your commitment to sustainability?

We love nature and it inspires everything we do. Our commitment to the Earth is something we take very seriously. We use glass bottles and jars where possible and our packaging uses FSC certified paper .

Does Indie Lee offer free samples?

Who doesn't love samples!? We occasionally offer free samples with website purchases, but at this time, we do not offer samples on a regular basis. If you have questions about a particular product or are wondering what is best for your skincare concerns, one of our skincare specialists would be more than happy to help! Give us a call at 866.488.1638 to speak with a live person. Also, you can try our products at an authorized retailer near you. Another thing to keep in mind: if you purchase a product directly from our website and are not completely satisfied, you may return it to us for a refund within 2 weeks.

Where are your products made?

Our products are manufactured in the USA and France.

What certifications do your products have?

We are committed to nontoxic and eco-friendly practices. Indie Lee is Leaping Bunny certified and uses FSG paper (Forest Stewardship Guild) in all of our outer packaging.

Product Information

What skin types are Indie Lee products suitable for?

Good news! We are happy to share that our products are ideal for all skin types including Normal, Dry, Oily, Combination and Sensitive (even those with rosacea). Have specific questions? We'd love to help! Ask us on Instagram (follow @indie_lee) or email us: [email protected].

Do you test on animals?

Absolutely not. Team Indie = animal lovers. We would not do anything to harm our furry friends.

What is the shelf life of Indie Lee products?

When you purchase from our website, we recommend opening products within 18 months of delivery and using them within 6 months of opening.

How should I store my Indie Lee products?

For optimal freshness, please store your products at room temperature (avoid extreme heat) and out of sunlight. While putting product in the refrigerator can make products feel refreshing (try the CoQ-10 Toner in the summer!), this will not make them last longer.

I have allergies. Can I review a list of ingredients in each product?

Your health and well being is our top priority. It is our mission to empower you with all of the product and ingredient knowledge possible. Every individual product page contains a list of the ingredients in that individual product. If you have any questions about ingredients, feel free to look at our ingredient encyclopedia or reach out to us by emailing [email protected].

Do your products contain artificial fragrances?

Everything you smell is real and natural from botanically-based ingredients! We do not use any synthetic fragrance in our products.

Your products smell amazing. How?

Why thank you! We think so too. The pleasing scents are from botanically based ingredients.

Are your products safe to use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding?

We are proud to say that many pregnant and nursing customers enjoy our product line. We do acknowledge that every pregnancy is different and for that reason we recommend always discussing your product selections with your physician. Certain ingredients are flagged for caution during pregnancy, including retinoids and acne-fighters (such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid). While the majority of our offerings are free of all flagged ingredients, salicylic acid is present in our Clearing Mask, Blemish Stick and Blemish Lotion.

Do your products contain sunscreen / SPF?

Our products do not contain SPF at this time though it is something we continue to explore. Indie always recommends walking on the shady side of the street and wearing a big hat and fabulous sunglasses as part of her sun protection ritual!

Are your products vegan?

All but one of our products is Vegan Friendly. Our Calendula Eye Balm is Beegan (it contains beeswax - which is humanely sourced. Bees are not harmed in its making). Safety and well being of animals is very important to us and for that reason we are Leaping Bunny Certified and we do not purchase from suppliers who are unable to prove they are cruelty-free as well.


What is the status of my order?

We can't wait for you to get your hands on the products! You will receive an email with tracking once your order ships. You can follow the tracking for your most up to date order status. If you still have questions, please contact us at [email protected] and someone will be sure to get back to you with an order update.

What if I want to change or cancel my order?

Don't worry, we can help! Once you enter an order, that specific order cannot be changed or cancelled. If you have ordered something in error, simply send it back to us (return guidelines here) for a refund. If you forgot to include something in your first order, please enter it in a new order. When will my credit card be charged?

The charge will go through once your order ships.

What should I do if my payment or order is declined?

Oh no! Please check to make sure you entered all of your information correctly. If that does not work, we suggest checking with your bank or card provider. If you continue to have issues, please contact us at [email protected].

What types of payment and currencies do you accept?

Indie Lee & Co. accepts valid American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Indie Lee Gift Cards. We do not accept checks, Paypal or money orders. All orders are charged in $USD.

What should I do if a promo code isn't working?

Our promo codes are case sensitive so please make sure you have entered the code exactly as it appears. If that still does not work and the promotion is still in the vaid timeframe, please reach out to [email protected] and we will be happy to help you!

Can I use multiple promo codes at checkout?

We accept one promo code per order. If you are lucky enough to have two, the choice is yours! Choose the one you want to use now and save the second one for your next order ; )

Shipping and Handling

Do you offer free shipping?

Why yes we do! We offer free shipping in the U.S. on all orders over $50.

Can you ship to my P.O. Box?

We don't currently ship to P.O. boxes.

How soon can I expect my order?

We are eager for you to receive the products too! But please note, we handle all orders with care. After your order is placed, please allow several days for it to ship. Delivery timing depends on your distance from our fulfillment center. You can keep tabs on its travel by checking your tracking number - which we send to you once your order ships.

I have not received my package. What should I do?

Don't stress- we will help! First, check your tracking to see when it is expected to arrive. If it is still in transit, please allow more time for delivery. Any other issues, please contact us at [email protected].

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! Indie Lee products for everyone!

Can I expedite my order?

Absolutely- love your enthusiasm! At check out you will be given the option of selecting your method of shipping.

Returns and Exchanges

What is your return policy?

Indie Lee & Co. will gladly accept returns on orders within 14 days. You have 14 days from the date of arrival to return any item in your order from

Securely wrap the package and send your return to the address below via FedEx, UPS or insured Parcel Post from the USPS for your protection and to ensure prompt credit. Indie Lee & Co. is not responsible for returned articles lost during transit. Be sure to include your complete contact info with your return including your name, address, phone number, email address and order number.

Your return will be processed promptly upon its arrival. Processing time for returns is usually 15 business days from the time the return is received. Business days are Monday – Friday, excluding major holidays. An email will be sent to confirm receipt and processing of your return. All returns will be refunded to the credit card that was used to process the order. Sorry, shipping and handling fees are not refundable.

We only accept returns for items purchased through If you purchased an Indie Lee item from a retail partner, please contact that retailer directly.

My order arrived damaged - help!

Yikes! So sorry to hear that! If your order was placed through, email us at [email protected] with your order number and a picture and description of the damage. We will get back to you with next steps. If you purchased from another authorized retailer, please contact them directly for assistance.

How long does it take for returns to process?

Timing will depend on when the process starts. First step is for you to return the product/s with all the necessary information included in the package. Once your order is delivered to us Indie Lee & Co. ATTN: Returns PO BOX 1041, South Salem, NY 10590, please allow two weeks for us to process the return and your refund.
